To date Antonio Poves, musician, musicologist and
researcher into old music and its instruments, has reconstructed
several different “organistra” (plural of the Latin
word “organistrum”) found in Spain, focusing mainly
on those previously unstudied, such as the “organistrum”
of the Portico de San Miguel of Estella and the “organistrum”
of the Monasterio de Piedra of Zaragoza. The latter is to be found,
nowadays, in the Real Academia de la Historia de Madrid (Royal Academy
of History, Madrid) where it has been since the last third of the
19th century. |
